Guest Speaker & Guest Worship Leader

We are happy to welcome International Bible Teacher, Bonnie Thomas back to the Community Ladies Conference.

Meet Bonnie Thomas
Bonnie Thomas, raised in South Carolina and a graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois, has served in many capacities over the last 30+ years in ministry - as missionary/teacher in the Philippines, staff member of Campus Crusade, and the Women's Ministry Coordinator with the Billy Graham Evangelistic
Association where her father, Cliff Barrows, has been the program and music director for over 60 years.

Upon her marriage to Chris Thomas from England, they moved to Milwaukee and served on the pastoral staff of Elmbrook Church under Stuart and Jill Briscoe.

In 1980, Chris assumed the directorship of Ravencrest Bible School and Conference Center in Estes Park , Colorado where they now reside. Bonnie teaches on the faculty of the Bible School and is involved in a counseling/discipleship ministry with the students.

She has also directed a Colorado conference ministry for women called “Reflections in the Rockies” and has been active in teaching a local Women’s Bible Study. Chris and Bonnie have been blessed with three sons, Ben, Dan & Luke who have now “left the nest” as Bonnie puts it.

Bonnie’s husband Chris, recently succeeded his father, the late Major W. Ian Thomas as director of Torchbearers International, a ministry with numerous camps, conference centers and Bible Schools in 17 countries worldwide.

Bonnie’s speaking ministry has been expanded in recent years and she now travels throughout the United States and the world, teaching women in a practical and personal way how to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The Spirit uses Bonnie to bring the scripture alive in a meaningful, fresh and relevant way. She was our much loved speaker at our 2004 & 2005 Community Ladies’ Conferences and we are delighted to have her back!

Christine Wichert also returns to the conference, leading the praise and worship team from Capernwray Harbour Bible School.

Meet Christine Wichert
Since 1996, Christine Wichert has been on full time staff at  Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre on Thetis Island, British Columbia.  Capernwray Harbour is part of Torchbearers International and is one of 25 Bible Schools and Retreat Centers in 19 countries whose purpose is to share indwelling life of Christ.

Christine serves in Bible School Administration, as Resident Lecturer, Conference Speaker,  Student Outreach & Summer Youth Ministries. She has had the reward of seeing student's lives transformed by Jesus Christ as they respond in faith and obedience to Him in her student-focused role in the Bible School.

In her precise and thought-provoking manner, Christine is used by the Lord to proclaim and teach the truths found in His Word.

Christine led a worship team at the 2004, 2005, & 2009 Community Ladies' Conferences.  She was also the much loved speaker at the 2008 Conference as she shared the  truth of Who God is and that He is indeed. . .  "More than Enough".
